LOCATION & TIMING

The location of your family’s session is up to you! I can come to your home, or we can choose an outdoor location based on your vision for the session. (Bonus points if you can think of a location meaningful to your family!) For outdoor sessions, I photograph almost all portrait sessions using only natural light, because it makes for the most stunning portraits. I aim to begin all portrait sessions approximately two hours before sunset during the “golden hour.” 

waRDROBE STYLING

I believe in Sunday’s best. I love helping my clients choose their outfits and always encourage them to dress up a little! Ladies, don’t be afraid to choose your favorite Sunday dress or to even wear a flowing gown! Long, fitted pants and closed-toed shoes are the most sophisticated and masculine looks for men. And I always recommend that, when coordinating your crew, you think more about how things will “fit” together than how they will “match.” You can scroll down a bit for more tips, or, if really stumped, don’t hesitate to send me photos of your potential outfit combos! I would love to help!

The SEssion

Let’s have an adventure! Who knew that having your photo taken could be fun? I’ll come to your home, or we’ll meet at an outdoor location. I’ll roll in the dirt with your kiddos, instigate tickle fights, and even convince dad to crack a smile! 

DELIVERY

You will receive an initial proof gallery two weeks after your session date. You will then be able to choose 20 images for further retouching and receive those finished images within another two weeks. (The total turnaround time is one month!) I’ll retouch your selections to perfection and provide you with digital files for any creative project you can dream up! I believe that you should be able to print and share your images as many times as you’d like, and that’s why every session includes full-resolution digital files with a print release. Black and white copies are also provided with every image in your order.  

KEEPSAKES

Bonus step: create your dream album! I know how hard it is to spend hours wrestling with confusing photo book software, so let me do the hard work for you! AEP’s signature albums let you hold your family’s story in your hands. You’ll treasure this heirloom long after USB drives become extinct.

Becoming a mother and doing parenthood with my husband has been the best experience and greatest gift of my life so far.
